Customised special systems and components are impossible? This is almost never the case with us!
We are happy to take on new challenges and provide you with expert support for your specialised tasks. Welding and welded body production
As a certified specialist welding company with EN 1090-2 and DIN EN ISO 3834-2 certificates, we offer the MSG, E and TIG welding processes. These are suitable for the production of press bodies and complete welded assemblies for machine, plant and crane construction with a maximum unit weight of up to 80 tonnes. Our range of services also includes repair welding of press bodies.
Mechanical processing: Milling, planing, turning, grinding
In the field of mechanical processing, we support you with our extensive processing technology. With horizontal boring machines, portal milling machines, vertical milling technology, long planing machines, various turning and grinding machines, we are flexible and can cover all areas. Use us as an extended workbench in the field of steel and cast iron machining up to a maximum unit weight of 22 tonnes. For larger unit weights, we cooperate with long-standing partners in the region with whom we can realise complete solutions (welding and machining) of up to 80 tonnes.

We have the following machines for milling:
- CNC horizontal boring machine up to 2,300 mm x 1,600 mm x 1,500 mm machining path, with rotary table 2,300 mm x 1,600 mm
- CNC travelling column machine up to max. 6,000 mm x 3,000 mm x 1,300 mm machining path, with rotary table 2,400 mm x 2,000 mm
- CNC portal milling machine up to max. 6,000 mm x 1,800 mm x 1,700 mm machining path
- CNC milling centre up to max. 3000 x 800 mm x 990 mm, with 3-sided machining up to 1200 mm length
Our planing jobs are carried out on our planing machine – up to max. 6,000 mm x 2,500 mm x 1,000 mm.
For tasks in this area, we have CNC turning technology with up to max. 630 mm x 4,000 mm.
We use these methods for grinding jobs:
- External cylindrical grinding technology up to max. 630 mm x 4,000 mm
- Internal cylindrical grinding technology up to Ø 300 mm x 240 mm
- Surface grinding up to max. 430 mm x 600 mm x 2,000 mm
(3D) measurement
We carry out quality control for you using a wide variety of measuring methods. This includes, for example, measuring components on the measuring machine using a 3D probe and large-area 3D measurements using a laser tracker – portable and flexible, on your premises if you wish.
You can also receive a detailed measurement report on request. We are also able to offer ultrasonic, magnetic particle and X-ray testing through our regular partner companies.
Flame cutting
Zeulenroda Presstechnik can use autogenous flame cutting to produce individual parts in a wide range of sheet thicknesses – from 5 mm to 300 mm and with contours made from autogenous flammable material grades. We have almost all material grades in various thicknesses in stock and can therefore process your order at short notice.
All S355 sheets are available with 3.1. Inspection certificates possible. Thanks to the large dimensions of the flame cutting system, formats of max. 8,000 mm x 3,000 mm can be cut to size.
Blasting
We have a free jet and sandblasting system for cuttings and welded assemblies with maximum dimensions of 10,000 mm x 4,000 mm x 4,000 mm. With us, you can use the free jet blasting service using blasting gravel with a grain size of 0.6 mm to 1 mm. Sandblasting is carried out with quartz sand.
Annealing
All welded assemblies can be stress-relieved and supplied with an annealing protocol.
Heat treatment takes place in our annealing furnace with a length of 1,500 mm, a width of 1,000 mm and a height of 1,000 mm. During stress relief annealing of flame-cut blanks and welded assemblies, the internal stresses in the workpiece are relieved at a temperature of 550 °C to 650 °C. Normal annealing at 800 °C to 950 °C returns the microstructure to a uniform fine-grained state.
On request, we can also provide you with an annealing protocol with photo documentation.
Surface treatment
We can treat the surfaces of workpieces and assemblies using various processes. Priming and painting in our special paint booths is possible for small and large parts up to 80 tonnes and up to a size of 12 m x 4 m x 4 m. If required, a coating thickness measurement can also be carried out and recorded.
Our environmentally friendly cold burnishing process can also be used to refine the surface of your workpieces and reduce their susceptibility to corrosion.
